On Wednesday November 9, members of the Council’s Enterprise & Infrastructure launched a consultation on a Smart Perth and Kinross Strategy.
The Strategy is one of the first to be completed in Scotland and is part of Perth’s participation in the Smart Cities Scotland initiative launched last year by Keith Brown MSP then Cabinet Secretary for Cities. Perth is also benefitting from a share of £10m of European funding to support smart city projects which will include an Open Data Platform; Innovation Lab; City Operations Centre; Intelligent Street Lighting and Smart Waste.
